Sampling
- Blood sample (plasma/serum) taken with a syringe or capillary:
- Serum in dry tubes
- Plasma with anticoagulant.
- Compatible anticoagulant: see cartridge datasheet: Lithium heparin often recommended.
- Urine samples should be clear.
- It is recommended to centrifuge urine at 4000 rpm for 1 minute and to aliquot it in 1.5mL tubes.
- Minimal volumes (cf. Analyses Table).
Be careful:
- Use samples freshly collected and stored appropriately.
- For plasma: use compatible anticoagulants (see cartridge datasheet).
- If analysis > 8 hours: keep the sample at 4°C.
- If analysis > 48 hours: keep the sample frozen at -20°C or -80°C.
- Clear and simple identification of samples: provide a list matching the identifications (e.g.: excel table).
- Define the protocol : sample origin (species: mouse, rat, ...) and nature (serum/plasma/urine...)
