Body Composition Analysis

The EchoMRI™ body composition analyser measures whole body fat, lean, free water, and total water masses in live mice, rats or other animals of a comparable size.

The animals need no sedation or special preparation to be measured - the animal is placed in a plastic holder, the holder is inserted into a tubular space in the EchoMRI™ system and scanning can be started.

Scanning takes 1 - 5 minutes per animal, depending on the precision options. Results are delivered as numeric values ready to analyse.
