Guidelines

The ZIRP is a multi-user interdisciplinary facility with a large number of different users. To enable smooth work all users have to follow the ZIRP guidelines (PDF, 158 KB) as well as the hygienic and safety guidelines posted in every room.

Animal housing has to conform to the UZH minimal standards. All animals housed in the ZIRP have to be ordered, registered and managed via iRATS. A certificate of health status is mandatory for all animals before transferring them into the ZIRP facility. Please contact Laboratory Animal Service Center (LASC) for more information.

All animal experiments require a permission of the Cantonal Veterinary Office (Kantonales Veterinäramt). All investigators are responsible to possess a valid permission for their experiments as well as for the health and welfare of their animals.
