Metabolism

The assessment of metabolic alterations is a key requirement for either phenotyping of transgenic rodents or during the course of a certain disease or treatment.
Thus, ZIRP offers a number of tools to quantify the animal’s intake and output (metabolic cages) or energy metabolism (Calorimetry and Treadmill), but also options for housing under different challenges, e.g. hyper- or hypoxia or environmental temperatures above or below standard housing conditions.
